Neesham Trail – Official Opening

On Friday, 28 June 2019 our new Neesham Trail in our Early Years’ Unit was officially opened by Mrs. Lorraine Neesham and representatives from the Weardale Action Partnership. The afternoon was well attended by staff, governors, parents, pupils and special guests. The weather was lovely and the Early Years’ garden looked stunning with colourful decorations and a beautiful ‘Wishing Tree’.

Special thanks goes to Joanne Ward, for making the delicious cakes and serving the tea and coffee, along with Elaine Hunt. Stanhope Barrington pupils Holly, Georgia and Kayleigh were fantastic helpers at the event, too, pouring juice and helping the younger pupils. The Early Years team (and the children) worked extra hard to make sure that the garden looked amazing for the event.

Thank you to Mrs. Neesham for her generous gift and to the Weardale Action Partnership for contributing to the improvements to our Early Years’ play area. The new equipment will be enjoyed by the children of our community for years to come because of their support.
