Statement of Intent:

Our Vision:

A place where our children, adults and community can grow and thrive rooted in Kindness, Fellowship and Confidence.

At Stanhope Barrington C of E Primary school, we aim to make Design and Technology an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. We provide the children with the skills and confidence to solve real problems, within a variety of contexts, applying their knowledge and understanding. Cross curricular links are often used as an initial stimulus, encouraging the children to use their own creativity and imagination to make the project personal and unique to them. The children will learn a range of skills through a progressive curriculum, that will equip the children with both practical and problem-solving skills that they can carry with them for life.

Cake Making – The children have turned into cake-makers this week. To say thank you to Cross Hill Residential Home the children worked collaboratively to bake a cake. The children broke down the skills needed to make a cake and across the week baked and decorated the cake. At the end of the week the children ventured to see the residents and serve their cake.
