On Thursday 16th June 2016 our Year 5 class went to Wolsingham Comprehensive on an activity taster day. Mrs Peoples accompanied the children to the secondary school where they were greeted by older students, some of which were ex-Stanhope pupils.
The day was filled with different activities and challenges which focused on team building and problem solving. Children from all schools in the Dale attended and the groups were split up and integrated with each other to ensure children were working with children from other schools.
The highlight of the day was learning how to use the canteen! Lunch was kindly provided by the comprehensive school so that the children could experience what it will really be like to have lunch there.
