Vision Skills North East

On Thursday 30th November 2017, Vision Skills North East visited our school. Vision skills is a charity which works with visually impaired people and we invite them into school every two years. This ensures that our children have a good understanding of what it is like to lose your sight or to be born blind. There were two workshops. One for KS1 and one for KS2. The presenters were very entertaining, telling children the important facts but with funny anecdotes and stories which had the children and staff in stiches.

It is important that our children are not only tolerant but also accepting of difference and workshops such as this help to develop their understanding of the world.
