On Wednesday 29th November 2017, Alison from The Dogs Trust came into school. She delivered an assembly to the whole school which focused on how to read the body language of a strange dog and she taught the children how to greet a new dog they have never met before. Alison then ran a workshop for our youngest children in Reception and Year 1.
Dogs bring an enormous amount of pleasure to all of us and it is our responsibility to teach our children how to react and behave around dogs. As such, Alison is running a 6 week programme for a small group of children who have a genuine fear of dogs. This programme will run in January and letters have been sent home asking for you to register an interest. If you would like your child to take part, please contact Mrs Cross, Deputy Head Teacher.
