On Wednesday 7th March 2018, children from Year 2 up to Year 6 attended a theatre production by Firehorse Theatre company. The production was called The B Word and it focussed on Bullying. The production was excellent, very informative and gave children practical advice on how to deal with the problem of bullying. The show was interactive, with a number of our children actually taking part in the story which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The show addressed issues such as why people bully others, how to identify bullying and what this behaviour might look like or feel like. It also spent time advising children on what action they can take if they witness bullying or find themselves victims of bullying.
Following the show, teachers followed up with work and discussions in the classroom. If parents or children would like any further advice on this subject, it can be found on the NSPCC website.
