Raising Money For the NSPCC

On Friday 7th May 2021 our children took part in Times Tables Rock Stars Number Day. The idea of number day was for schools across the country to access activities on Rock Stars on the same day. Depending upon the number of children who had logged on during Friday, the NSPCC made a donation on behalf of participating schools to the NSPCC.

1,477 schools across the country took part with over 90,000 children logging into Rock Stars.

As a result, Time Tables Rock Stars has donated £2,500 to the NSPCC on behalf of the school which took part.

This is a fantastic result and a significant amount of money for the NSPCC. Not only has it raised money but has also engaged children in a fun and exciting maths activity. A further benefit is that our school has been able to support a national charity without asking parents to make a donation. I think this is a really important benefit given the challenges many of our families are facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Well done to everyone who took part!
