Congratulations to Freddie who is the first child in school to achieve the Queen Bee Reading Challenge!
Our children all take part in the Buzzing About Books programme whereby they have to work their way through a honeycomb of different reading challenges (all age appropriate and organised in Learning Zones). Once they complete three honeycombs they reach the Boss Bee Challenge which is given to them by their Teacher. When they have completed the Boss Bee Challenge they have reached the ultimate challenge which is issued by The Queen Bee (guess who?).
The Queen Bee Challenge is to ask an adult which was their favourite book when they were the same age; build a den; read the book in the den and take photographic evidence then make a video recording of them reviewing and recommending the book.
Freddie has done an amazing job and really enjoyed the challenge. He will receive his prize next week.
