On Friday 9th December 2016, we were delighted to take our whole school to the Methodist Church in Stanhope to see the knitted Christmas tree.
The children took part in a competition to guess how many knitted squares were used to make the tree. They thoroughly enjoyed singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer – our own version of course!
We then held our celebration assembly in the church with Mr Myers giving out awards and certificates to those children who have been recognised this week. We then sang Happy Birthday to some of our children and Deacon Sue Peat, who celebrated her birthday this week!
Our visited ended with the school prayer followed by a prayer of thankfulness by Deacon Sue.
As always, our children’s behaviour was exemplary in church and we were very proud of them.
