On Monday 8th February 2016 we went to St. Thomas’ Church for our annual music celebration. Miss Hughes from the Durham Music Service showcased the work carried out in EYFS and KS1 this term. Our very young children sat at the front of the church and played a range of percussion instruments, keeping a beat and following a ‘conductor’. It was lovely to see so many of our EYFS children joining in and enjoying music.
This was then followed by our KS1 children who sang songs with actions which KS2 and some parents joined in with.
Finally the whole school sang three songs which were upbeat and energetic. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was great to see so many parents, grandparents and members of our school community there to support the children.
