Get ready….Kingswood, here we come!

This week the children in Class 3 will embark on their adventure to Kingswood. For many, it will be their first experience away from home. The children may experience a range of emotions from excitement to apprehension and maybe even fear as they look forward to their trip. Their bags are packed but are they really ‘ready’ to go? Are any of us ever truly ‘ready’ for a new adventure? What does it mean to be ‘ready’? The raincoats, wellies, multiple pairs of socks and their beloved teddies are packed; there might be a few sweets, a toothbrush and a comb but how will they cope emotionally with this adventure? Every new adventure starts with a bit of trust, a bit of hope and a bit of nervousness but, overall, a desire to try something new.

At Stanhope Barrington the children are offered a wide variety of new opportunities to challenge themselves. They are challenged to be the best they can be. They are encouraged and supported to reach their potential everyday. These experiences are offered so that they can thrive in different situations, and that’s what the trip to Kingwood is all about. Kingswood helps to build confidence and resilience. It is a trip to make memories that will last a lifetime, a trip that will remind each child how they were faced with challenges and how they met those challenges. Are they ready? The answer is that they are as ready as they can be, but their Kingswood adventure will empower them to be ready to face other challenges in the future. Get READY for a fantastic trip Class 3!
