Internet Safety: Keeping our kids safe on-line

As part of our Internet Safety Day, we are offering parents & carers the opportunity to attend a drop in session with our IT Technician (John Anderson) who can advise and show you how to set and adapt your parental controls on a variety of devices. Leaflets and additional information will also be available.

The drop in session will be held in the school library on Tuesday 5th February (Internet Safety Day). Please turn up without an appointment and bring along any devices you would like support with including mobile phones, tablets and laptops. This support session will be held between 1pm and 3pm. Parents will be seen on a first come first served basis and there may be a small wait whilst John is supporting another parent.

We are also having a whole school assembly on Internet Safety delivered by Durham Police who will also be delivering e-safety workshops with our older children from Year 3 upwards. This will take place on Wednesday 13th February 2019. Each class will be doing work on e-safety issues within their own classrooms during Internet Safety Day.

E-safety is becoming a significant issue within all schools and we are pleased to be able to offer parents this support so that they can protect their child appropriately whilst online.
