On Friday 7th October 2016 our school held their annual Harvest Festival at St. Thomas’ Church. As always, we were inundated with donations of food which will be processed through the food bank and given to families in need.
The children spoke of God as a gardener and discussed how important gardens are in the Bible. The theme for our Harvest Festival was ‘Give Hunger the Boot’ and children had decorated wellington boots with images of Autumn and Harvest. These were displayed around the church.
We sang our favourite Harvest songs, including Big Red Combined Harvester and the highlight of the service was when our smallest children brought the donations down the main aisle to the table whilst the rest of the children sang the Harvest Samba.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the service to support the school and our children and thank you for all of your donations.
