Another fantastic year…

I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate another fantastic year at Stanhope Barrington. We have had an amazing year with many highlights and many successes, not least of which were our super SATs results achieved by our Year 6 children.

There are far too many wonderful events that have happened in school for me to list here but these are a handful which stand out for me personally:

  • The completion of our allotment garden
  • Our fantastic links with the Church – I really enjoy our regular celebration assemblies and events which are always extremely well attended by parents and the community
  • Our outdoor Remembrance Service which was so successful it is now to become an annual event
  • Our amazing Christmas performances which are now becoming legendary
  • The implementation of children’s choice for school meals
  • Our great PE achievements in a number of county wide events
  • The upgrade of equipment in our school kitchen
  • Our wide range of after school clubs provision offering children experiences ranging from Archaeology to Sport to Film Club
  • Our involvement with SCOUTED and our development of outdoor learning opportunities

Perhaps the thing I am most proud of is my team, who have not only maintained our ‘Outstanding’ standards but have continued to innovate and create dynamic and interesting learning opportunities for our children.

Thank you so much for all of your support over the past year and I am looking forward to next year which I am sure will be as successful as this one has been.
