Mark Hanson and his family live in what used to be the old Barrington School in Stanhope.
We were contacted by Mark during the Autumn Term and he explained that he was getting a weathervane made for the house to commemorate the fact that it used to be a school.
We sent Mark a copy of our school logo and when the weathervane was completed and fitted, Mark sent us this picture. You can see the old school building and a parent taking a child to school. Below that you can see both the cross from the market place and the bonny moor hen (red grouse) from the current school logo.
The weathervane looks fantastic and it is lovely that the family wanted to recognise that the building used to be our old school.
