03.07.20 – Head Teacher Update

Following the government’s announcement yesterday about schools re-opening fully in September, I am writing to give you an update on the current position.

We are still working through the enormous amount of guidance and information issued yesterday and we also have a meeting with the DDMAT CEO on Monday to discuss the implications for our school.

It is the government’s intention that all children return to school in September but are suggesting that each class becomes a bubble and is kept separate from the other classes. This causes us a range of logistical challenges such as how we facilitate breaks, handwashing, lunchtimes, breakfast club, additional cleaning etc.

Our detailed risk assessment will need to be reviewed and re-written and this will all be done after Monday’s meeting.

I will write to you again as soon as the picture is clearer but in the meantime please bear with us and we will keep you as up to date as we are!

Many thanks

Mr S Myers

Head Teacher
