Dear Parent/Carer
I am writing to clarify some inaccuracies which have appeared in the news and on social media over the last few days. Schools WILL NOT be reopening on 11th May 2020. It is unclear where this information has come from but it does appear to be being perpetuated within the media.
As a school, we receive daily updates from the Department for Education and the current situation is that there is NO DATE for the reopening of schools. The government have outlined five key indicators which must be met prior to any lifting of the existing restrictions. Unfortunately, we have no special inside knowledge to share other than that we will continue to follow the guidelines issued to us from the DfE and DfH.
We do appreciate how difficult the extension of ‘lockdown’ is for everyone and will continue to be here to support parents as much as possible over the coming weeks.
