Leaver’s Service at Durham Cathedral

On Thursday 16th June 2016 our ten year 6 leaver’s attended the Leaver’s Service at Durham Cathedral. Mr Myers drove the community bus and the children were accompanied by Mrs Parvin. After arriving in Durham the children spent some time shopping, visiting their favourite shops and spending their pocket money. As you will see from the photos they had a fantastic time.

It was then time for a picnic lunch outside of the Cathedral before going into the formal service at 1pm. Our school banner was carried with pride by Katey Unsworth and Senna Mattari and was led down the aisle by Ben Toal.

As always our children were an absolute delight to take out for the day and their behaviour, manners and politeness in the shops was commented on by members of the public. Once again, we are very proud of our year 6 children and wish them all the very best for the future lives.
