Just to let parents know that despite a lot of planning and hard work by Miss Hunter-Purvis, we have had to cancel the planned trip to Raby Castle. The reason for this is that we could not find a bus company who had a bus available for that date. We have tried lots of companies but have had no luck.
We are finding that bus companies are struggling with a shortage of drivers and also fuel prices have significantly increased the cost of hire too which is something we will have to bear in mind moving forward.
Instead, the Sapphire Learning Zone are going on a picnic and visit to the playpark on Monday 18th July and Miss HP will treat them to an ice-cream too. I am sure they will still have a lovely time despite this disappointment.
